History:
Dominie is an Australian owned and operated business which began in 1951. It all started when Owen Martin, a school teacher and headmaster, decided to publish and sell the teacher resource materials he created and used in his own classroom.
The word 'Dominie' is an old Scottish word originally meaning schoolmaster, however in many Scottish villages the understanding expanded to mean guide, friend and helper.
Now, more than 50 years later, Dominie provides great customer service and educational resources throughout Australia and the world. Anything from student and teacher books to stickers and charts are available from Dominie. Our Mail Order department not only supplies orders to rural and suburban Australia but has received orders from over 60 different countries.
Our Brookvale Store:
Dominie opened its Brookvale store in the late sixties and has been expanding in size and range of products ever since.
We are open 7 days a week to the public. Our dedicated customer service team has exceptional product knowledge in order to help teachers, parents and students find what they require.
